So I'm playing 
in 8.5. All is going well, eventually I end up at 16/3. We lost that game because a 4/8 
could outdamage me without even having to move. I wasn't chasing, just standing there kiting and fighting, and he could outdamage me. I'm at least and item and 3 levels ahead at this point. We lost the game because it took an entire team to kill a tank, with a 9/0 
and 16/3 . Hashinshin was right about this garbage.
Well of course none of you could kill him. None of you had any penetration apart from Ekko (and maybe Renekton with Black Cleaver). And Ekko isn't going to be doing much to him because he's not a tank killer. And if what I can see is right, your team had little hard CC and peel.
Secondly, Singed is not explicitly a tank.
Don't worry. Riot balance team is full of adc mains, so if tanks are ever even slightly viable they nerf them to hell and back. There is no tank meta though.
Singed is as much a tank as Darius or Fiora.
The only tank doing remotely well right now is Sion. The top meta is literally 8 bruisers and 2 ranged poke champs
He has more offensive items then you. If you're both tanks how can you complain about another tank?
Olaf is a Juggernaut just like Singed. I think it's more likely the main reason you lost was cause their Cait and Singed were just outright better then Trist and Renek, while even from behind their Karth was able to stay relevant, out damaging the fed Ekko. Then there's the fact Taric is actually suited to be a support where Voli isn't.
I just wanted to clarify. It's not like Riot doesn't want tanks to be viable. What they don't want is bruisers abusing tank items, which is what usually ends up happening. An item that's designed for a true tank like Malphite or Rammus ends up getting built by someone like Darius. That's what Riot doesn't want.
