I've been seeing pro players build Rapid Firecannon and Statikk Shiv together. (NA LCS Finals TSM VS IMT 2017 Summer Split, The C9 and EDG happening right now.) When I told my friend about it, she kept wondering why the pro players don't build Phantom Dancer or something instead of Rapid Firecannon, as the abilities between RF and SS are pretty similar. Any suggestions??
MysterQ2 votesRapid Cannon Increased range, at a high level you don't want to get in close range. It is all about playing safe, and that makes pokes afe. Increased charge time, the passive is overlooked, but it charges faster so you heal more and hit big procs more with 100% energized.

SS gives a burst of damage, and RFC gives an increased range. it lets you poke safely, while still giving you ASP and crit for when bigger fights break out.

Colton1471 votesIf Stattik Shiv and Rapid Firecannon is able to synergize/stack together, it is time to make both Ravenous Hydra and Titanic Hydra and all Hextech items to synergize/stack with each other.

the main difference between ss and rfc is their unique synergy, making the two hydras synergizesould offer no real benefit besides the hp tanks now lifestealing their way to victory, the same with the hextech items, and there is a major tradeoff in damage for building both items vs the hextech items and the hydras
