Lately I've noticed that I'm getting a ton of defeats, so I started using op.gg and I found out why. I'm against Diamonds and Plats while my whole team is low silver, like me. What's happening with riot and this BS right now? I'm going to quit if I see anymore of this.
iPooUnicorns3 votesMatchmaking has become way too aggressive over the years in effort to shorten queue times.
But like many others, I'd rather wait longer for a quality match than to get in matches such as these: https://i.gyazo.com/3bdffbdda2d43626314afbbe1e30f1c1.png
Harrowïng2 votesI put in a ticket a year ago or so asking about this same issue.
Apparently norms and ranked have their own separate MMR. Alot of cases of higher ranking players in normals almost NEVER play norms throughout the season. So when they do their normal MMR is treated as low as possible. Upon learning this, I have restricted myself to solo queue games and keep the mindset that these are now normals. This way the matches are more evenly matched. As I try to believe when I'm not matched against a god damn Zed smurf.
Saezio1 votesIf you want even matches go to ranked. Why is there an issue since defeats in normals have no repercussions ? I'm sorry if i sound aggressive but normals have their own MMR and ranked their own same with all queues and that is how it should be, normals are for fun not for win, if what you seek is victory go for the ranked where more people have that mindset

^^^This. Basically ranked is more casual than norms. Just ignore the whole rank part.
