Solo Duo afk/feeder solutions

My last 7 of 10 games has included a key player to go afk. That is insane. Not once has the other team had an afk, 2 of those games were series, game 1 and game 3, further wasting more of my life.

These afk'ers without a doubt have a record of going afk!

Why are they still able to queue up with those that never afk!!!!!!

Its is a complete lottery at this point, its already misleading enough thinking you are going to be ranked based upon your ability to play the game. Complete lottery of who you get on your team, has that asshole had a bad day. oh, last pick wants to play mid or feed and holds true to his word. on my team again. great!

These games last nearly an hour! And you can't get a surrender vote to save your life. That needs readdressed. There needs to be an option for the other team to vote no loss or reduced point loss for when you have an afk on your team, or an intentional feeder. Why make everyone start from scratch and not have just wasted that hour playing but wasted a minimum of 3 hours, the 1st hour to have the afk loss, the second hour if you are extremely lucky to win 80% of those lost points back, and a third hour to wish upon a god damn star to win another game without an afk or feeder just to come out slightly ahead and feel like you've accomplished something.

Why is there still no option when you queue solo/duo to pick 2 or 3 roles you would like to play, and have it randomly select the role chosen for you, then let them pick if top or support or jungle will be the tank, ect, ect.

I understand the frustration and I know you understand these things happen, so I will offer some points which might make this more bearable or less likely to happen.

First, look at the ranking system objectively, if you are good enough you will rank up even if this takes a while and try to use these games for your own personal gain (did you do good in lane, did you manage to reduce your deaths and such). This such alleviate some of the negative impact of such losses on your morale and help you improve. I personally have started to take track of my ranked games, including relevant stats and remarks, to help me take a step back and help me understand certain faults that I did during them. I believe this gives you better understanding of your own performance and help you get those victories more often.

Second, try to accommodate your team during champ select. By being communicative in champ select, you can help everyone get a role they are comfortable with or a champ they are comfortable with. This should reduce the number of trolls you have in game.

Third, try duo queue. By doing so, you reduce your chance of having an afk or troll by 25% (since you never troll/afk you reduce the percentage of possible trolls/afk by 1/4 if you duo queue). There are certain draw-backs of duo queuing, you get a mmr penalty on your match (your duos average mmr+ a penalty) so you'll be matched with a "higher ranked" team, but constructive criticism between you and your duo can help you both achieve more. This is not including the fact that you have ample opportunity to communicate between eachother and hatch game plans.

I hope this puts a different perspective on the afk/troll problem you are facing and good luck climbing.

P.S.: It is worthwhile to dodge a troll, but don't needlessly dodge off-meta picks since players are often more expenrienced with such champions and can do alot better with them than other ones.
