OK first lets get an image in your head. I am almost 37 and have a 4 yr old daughter. I am an adult older than the people who work at riot mostly. I have been a blue collared worker cleaning repairing motors and even doing chemicals for pools for ten years managed my own business made six figures a year quit that job started training martial arts for ten years became a second degree black belt and first degree in Tae Kwon Do managed my own school and even opened my own business teaching up to 40 students. blah blah blah...this makes me credible I am not some teenage punk who does not understand life I've lived in the real world and succeeded many times. this is not meant to show off I could careless if you think its cool or not.

LOL is not life. But it is fun to play. and that is my message today really.Play the game for fun. ELO HELL EXISTS. I've tried for six fuckin years to climb out of bronze. I am sick of it. I'm done trying. in fact I'm just going to tell you al right now this game is designed so people can troll and get away with it.

I out CS pro players I ward more than anyone in any game. I can play ANY role and master 7 champs days after they are released.

If your team sucks you lose. Stop telling people you can climb out of bronze. Its not possible with solo que. this s coming from a guy who's broken 4 bricks with his hand. and too many boards to think of. ELO HELL EXISTS end of story. Accept it and just play the game for fun until Riot fixes the match making.

You outcs pro players? You dont come even close. They usually get 10-11 CS per minute. Meaning in 30 mins game they usually have over 300, close to 350. You are just delusional. You warding is awful, look at this game:

https://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2694280695/233673380?tab=overview

You played Morgana support. You placed least wards in that game.

Althought your CS is on a decent level (around gold or plat), rest of your gameplay is on low bronze level.

There is no elo hell. Just delusional people that believe they are better than they actually are.

Well if you are 37 years old, you are probably having a similiar issue as me (32), which is that I have reflexes of a dead cat compared to when I was younger :D, but getting out of bronze mostly depends on how often you play really, I am sitting at platinum with no problem, but then again looking at your profile i play 20x times more matches than you :D, and that is probably the reason you are still in bronze, you have to know that high elo players will heavily play on a daily basis, you can easily find people that have over 300 games just this season, compared to your 10 its a big difference.

There is no way you're a working adult with a daughter and also have a level 98 account.

1.) As a dude who just had a kid - he's going on 1 year old - what advice can you give me?

2.) What's your favorite thing about martial arts in general?

3.) Goodluck with your future games! A quick glance at your account shows me you play pretty well - I'd recommend sticking to one champion and role and try to master it. Watch people @ Diamond levels play so you can understand why they are doing the things they are doing!

If you can't climb out of bronze, it shows that you have not improved at all in those six years. This is nothing against you, I'm just saying, that you can climb out of bronze in a few days, if you are good enough. You can literally solo carry every single game down there.

People stagnating in bronze could mean a bunch of things. Either they're new to the game, or they don't have much time to play, or just don't want to improve, they wanna play for fun, as you said.

If you couldn't get out of bronze in such a long time, you can only blame yourself. No hard feelings, keep it up.

One thing I notice from reading your post and then reading through the comics is that you focus a lot on the mechanics of the game. Having good mechanics is certainly important, but so is working with the team. You gave your 'resume' so to speak, so we know you're used to success and making your own way in life.

Something that I learned from league that I hadn't learned anywhere else is the importance of teamwork and cooperation. And you can bash on your teammates about it all you want, but that won't change the fact that the skills exist out there that can be used to extract cooperation and respect even from idiots.

It's like grappling and throws, if you've studied much of that stuff in your martial arts. If you dig in and force things when people have an advantage over you they can just dig in themselves and stubbornly not do what you want. You have to use techniques and subtlety to subvert their stubbornness and trick them into moving in a way that you can take advantage of. Same thing with teamwork in league.

People are stubborn and stupid, if you try to tell them what to do then they will stubbornly refuse, especially if you're doing badly yourself (in the circumstances where that happens, because lets face it we all have bad games sometimes). So you need to take advantage of tricks of rhetoric and psychology to get them on your side without making them think you're trying to control them.

I’m enjoying the game again MY way. I know you all do not see what I’m talking about but trust me if you had the crappy teammates I’ve had over the last six years you would just quit. Now I have one focus having fun. Ranking is impossible and I refuse to be tricked any further into thinking otherwise. I’ll be done posting here if you see me in game might want to dodge because I’m playing ranked while playing hero’s of the storm and hearthstone. Like I said the game is designed for trolls as long as I don’t say a word in game I get away with it to. If riot bans me I just make a smurf and start all over again. They don’t care about actually stopping toxicity.play aren of valor on your phone way more strict than LOL oh and the company’s the same.

One day you will all come to the same conclusion I have. League is all luck based on who your team is unless you have five ppl on cons then it’s a legit skill game. Hope you don’t quit like everyone else that matured and realized I’m right in the past six years. Have fun because you know I will.

you can actaully climb out of bronze, bronze players are bad and yes they will always get fed off your team.. but the enemy team is ALSO bad and not only can u easily match thier kills in bronze they usually screw up a lot and even with a kill deficit u can outplay them

i have climbed out of bronze 4 times

silver on the other hand.. is MUCH harder.

and while some players are put in silver while they are bronze.. it is only about 15% of players... so w/e team gets them is pretty much in a 4v6 and will lose.. also when said bronze player feeds the silver player is much less likely to throw away said lead after he gets it than a bronze player

and even though you can still beat your opponent easily enough.. chances are u dont be able to match the lead of the fed player... and depending on the champ matchup you may not be able to outplay them.

As some other people have already said if you can't climb out of bronze then you're just a bronze player. Lots of people are bronze. That's just the way it is. If you are better than the people on your team you will climb... eventually.

Here's the math of climbing though. You can assume that every other player, aside from yourself, is equally skilled because that's what will occur on average and let's say that if only you and your lane opponent mattered you could win 80% of the time.

You end up with something like this: 80 vs. 20 50 vs. 50 50 vs. 50 50 vs. 50 50 vs. 50

for a total of 280 vs. 220 and that'd give you... a 56% winrate. Far from impressive, but positive and over an extended period of games you'll climb. At the start of the season your MMR will be positive and you'll gain more LP than you lose, so as long as you win more games than you lose you'll actually climb relatively quickly. You don't have to win significantly more games than you lose... just more.

I climbed from bronze to plat 2 seasons ago, bronze to gold last season before calling it quits then got seeded silver this season and am looking to get plat again this season. It takes time.

A bunch of people are probably gunna complain about the roles being weighted equally and similar stuff but honestly, there's so much you can model on a napkin. Someone far, far more skilled than their opponent would be able to pull out much higher winrates.

Finally - and I can't stress this enough - nothing is going to change even when you climb. The only thing I notice change as I climb from bronze to gold is that I win less games. You still get trolls, afks, toxic players.

Gear Jammer3/27/2018, 4:48:56 AM1 votes

You say it's impossible..... How can it be impossible when many players have done it over and over again.... Even my self I'm a low silver player and I can and have climbed out of bronze multiple times....

My theory.... You don't put enough time in. Just like with martial arts it doesn't happen overnight or in a few days or weeks.... You got to put in alot of time to clmb the ranks and improve....

P.s. I'm sure this is a troll post so this is really more for the readers of the post and not the OP.

SangreDeNoche3/27/2018, 5:11:15 AM1 votes

I know that feel bro. Playing for I wanna say 4 years? Started silver 1 with awesome mmr that got me in games with low plat and high gold. Fell to bronze from "resets" and couldn't climb out. Nothing about my play got worse but I kept going down. This season it seemed like it was repeating then out of nowhere allies started doing their damned jobs. Went up in rank immediately. I didn't need to change, my allies did. Had fuck all to do with effort or skill on my part.

Kanzler3/27/2018, 4:24:21 PM1 votes

Dont play champs that require a team. Just pick yorick or some shit top, get ahead, and solo every objective.

If you play adc, mid, or supp, you ultimately need to rely on at least 1 other person to not be a chimp.
