Should I buy Kindred or Ekko ?

Hello everybody,

I have 6300 Ip and can't decide which of them both to buy. I like playing in the jungle and both can be played there. My friend told me "If you want to have fun ekko, if you want to win kindred", I don't know if this is true because I just started picking this game up again and didn't read the past 10 patchnotes ^^'. If you guys could help me out I would really apreciate that. And if you think that one is better than the other one you could give me a little reason why :).

First and foremost, buy TIER3 RUNES and QUINTS first before buying additional champions. Diversify your runes and quints. Don't make the same mistake as I did. You'll have a difficult time buying runes and quints later if you spend IP on champions.

I have almost every champ and almost all runes :D. I play this game for 2 years then stopped after bard came out ^^

First, the free champion rotation for next week should be announced tomorrow. I would wait to see if either Ekko or Kindred happen to be in that rotation before deciding on your purchase (just in case).

Anyways, it highly depends on whether you enjoy assassins or marksmen more.

Personally, I prefer Kindred jungle for their scaling and the early pressure they provide.

However, I will admit that Ekko is one of the few assassins I enjoy and he can be quite fun to play.

Honestly, I'd probably recommend just grabbing whichever one you feel like you want more immediately and grab the other one next.

Do you like playing ranged carries? If you do, buy Kindred. Their ult is a bit tricky to use since you have to target an ally or yourself and they are reliant on stacking up Marked targets.

Do you like playing melee assassins? If you do, buy Ekko. He's good at surviving bad situations with his ult and he's good at ganking enemies.

kindred is highly popular currently being pretty much the most popular in challenger but if you are bronze then ekko is fun to outplay people.

IMO kindred too weak, champs right now do her job much better. Experienced players always trying to play weaker champs to "prove" they are still viable. I think that just because a pro can do it doesnt mean its viable. Low elo players should effectively be able to play every champ with relative ease. Real ez champs? cant pros abuse that? yah but they are fighting other pros who can abuse other relatively ez champs to play. It would actually involve and equal test of skill.

Please buff kindred.... even just a LITTLE. If you read this please at least walk away that, jsut cause pros can essentially make something work, doesn't mean its necessarily viable.

Don't listen to the above guy.

Kindred has like a 54% winrate in plat, so she must be good if you learn her.

Anyways.

Kindred is good, and strong, but I think a little feast or famine. If you get your stacks they are mean, but if you don't then late game you are pretty meh. A very fun champ though and potentially potent, not a bad choice at all.

Ekko is more fun to me. I am biased towards him. Kit allows for more outplays IMO. Very versatile and capable of getting back into the game after a slow start much easier. Overall a funner champ, IMO.

I'd get both eventually.
