Item actives downtime thumbnail is unclear atm

The downtime from item actives (or trinket) is very unclear in patch 5.12 imho. When an active is on cooldown, the background of the thumbnail still has more or less the same colours of the off-cooldown thumbnail. It had me thinking I had zhonyas, trinkets and stuff up and ready to go (yes, i ulted into an enemy team as Twisted Fate without zhonya's, it looked pretty bronze). I don't like it very much :P. I would love to see it reverted back to 5.11 or change it for more.... clarity...? I added an in-game screenshot of it. Especially when the cooldown is 90% completed, it feels like it's up.
