The new matchmaking punishment is BRUTAL.

I have been playing league of legends since late season 2, my familiarity of this game and how queues work have pretty much been engrained in my mind at this point. I joined my friends for some matchmaking in the new featured draft pick, I was quite impressed by the UI, the sound effects, but most of all the banning and champ select was rather strange in relation to my past experiences of champ ban/selection phase. I have been used to clicking my champion and discussing the opposing team's potential comps, I was pretty consumed in the discussion with my fellow summoners. During this time (Even though my champ was selected), the timer managed to go off on me, KICKING MY ENTIRE TEAM FROM THE QUEUE. I was given a temporary exclusion from future queues for 15 MINUTES for a first time offense. This is a RIDICULOUS penalty, I believe if you want to force new rules, and set new penalties.. Please inform players of the 15 minute exclusion. Thank you.

Actually, it's unchanged from the way it's been for as long as I've been playing. The first time you dodge, you get 6 minutes, the next time 15, the next time half an hour, etc, and it resets to 6 minutes every 24 hours.

i completely agree with this. I love everything about the new champ select so far... except that if you have been playing this game for more then two days you have a second nature of not worrying about clicking lock in. I don't think there should be any rules about clicking a little button. its absolutely outrageous. then if you make a human error and forget to click the button to finalize your selected champ you are kicked from the game ad given a Que dodge time??? Don't get me wrong i am fine with it kicking you from the game if you have no way to fix this feature of the game. but it should not give you a penalty just because you have been playing for so long that you have muscle memory. myself and my group of friends who play everyday have combined received at least an hour of penalties for Que dodge all because we forget to hit that one stupid little button. I seriously hope you plan to fix this issue because it has caused me and many other older players a lot of issues over the past couple of days. I myself have a near perfect record of never dodging, and i am to the point that i have received more penalties in the past two day than i have all year.
