Im doing great in all my games. 8/10 promos still get bronze 5. fuck yall. im better than these bronze ass players. people can go 3/10 get silver 1 but i go 8/10 get bronze 5. supported great for my team. did everything i can to help carry the team. how are you gonna treat me like this you dumbasses.

But I agree, placements are a joke. You wasted a lot of TIME and EFFORT on 10 games that don't matter at all. The system already knew it was going to place you lower than last year no matter how well you did.

GankedByWindows3 votesIf you're placed lower you should climb fast. They place you lower than you should be normally because then it is possible for you to climb rather than stagnating immediately.
As for other people placing differently, this season has a soft reset on mmr for ranked. Their MMR from last season factored in, as did yours if you were ranked last season, which causes the discrepancy.

KVbqbFsC8e1 votesYou just don't know how MMR or placements work. He didn't "waste" any games. Placement games have a much higher effect on your MMR than regular games. If you go 8/2 and land in Bronze 5, you will have a much better MMR than if you went 2/8, which will make it much easier to climb.
MysterQ1 votesRight, much easier to climb until your MMR is quickly "balanced" to a 50% WL "balanced" by gaining slightly more LP than losing.
Sure maybe his MMR is improved now, he should be gaining 20+ per win. He can probably climb some divisions. Eventually (if he is streaking) he will still be a bronze facing players in Silver or more. And you can argue that is where he belongs, but that makes it tough to climb sometimes.
And sure MMR is all that matters to some people. But to others who don't play much, a hidden MMR value doesn't matter.

I should had still been higher bronze and then could had climbed out of this hell hole faster. I have played with plats-master players. If all unranked players went against Bronze in their provisionals then why do i get unranked players with 0 past experience in high silver?And many times in my team only?

Sukishoo1 votesYou were Bronze in your previous seasons... the placements AREN'T going to make you higher just cause you won most of them that's not how it works. Riot has said that you will ALWAYS be placed LOWER than where you were previously, however in your case you were placed right where you were since it says you were B5 last season.
If you can keep the win rate up though now that you've placed, you will skip divisions fast and get to where you feel you should be.

Restraintful1 votesHas anyone else not caught on? Placements mean jack shit because there's no hard reset at the end of the season.
A hard reset would allow you to go 8/10 and get Gold I because you'd be playing vs a variety of differently skilled players, a true competitive environment.
Instead they gift master/challenger players their rank from the season prior (but lower, so what, its still the top).

Jebem ti mamu1 voteslast season i was new to ranked and didn't try at all got placed in b5. this year i am a much better player, won 8/10 in my placements and was placed in b5 again and have yet to find teammates with half a brain. and before any one comments saying that if you are too good for bronze you wouldnt be in it, that arguement doesnt make sense because i was placed in b5 by default and it takes 5 matches of teammates who play like they are new to lol to find one game with a team who know how to play and by then ALL MY LP IS GONE dumb system
