Learning from Community vs Pros

Serious question here, this is my 1st season and I just placed Silver, fine with it. But, one thing I've noticed is that everyone has an opinion and no matter what they're right. I know you don't wanna spend time typing, but when you do explain your decision was made because of direct advice from a challenger jungler (like that you shouldn't waste time lvl 3 solo ocean drag just bc you can) people hop all over you that you aren't challenger you should learn how to jungle.

Is this just the exact reason they have been playing for 4 years and never gotten out of silver or is it dangerous using the strategies high level players use in the low elos?

Honest opinions please, nothing rude needed.

Thank You!

When playing through the low Elos it is important to find a good middle ground.

Certainly there is a lot of good information to take from high play that is always going to have a positive effect(ie good vision, predictive behavior etc)

There is however things you must consider in terms of the dynamics of lower level play, that will cause you to lose if you unilaterally try to apply high level play in a low level game.

For example, let’s say your team has played aggressive all game, your teammates and the enemy has all gone toplane and enemy teleport is down, you are mid and there is an infernal drake is up.

In a high level game you might wanna go solo drake, but in this case you must adapt to the players. In this scenario you probably cannot count on your team playing conservative at the tower while you take infernal and so the proper plan in this game might be to go top instead, because if not your whole team might die and they might get your inner/inhib

There are other things that will differ based on low level play, like the best champ picks, because play styles and low level meta differs quite a bit from high level, which means counter play will also differ

Tldr

Use a mix of both, use your brain, adapt to the situation

Solo ocean drag level three is good if you're someone who can do it well. Its rarely warded that early into the game, and you could even blast cone into the pit to avoid vision.

Dont listen to what people in your games think, you could be playing things very well, and someone will complain. That's just jungle in low elo. I've played jungle on a smurf account and it can be frustrating how dumb people can be. Ignore them or mute them. Things a challenger jungle say might not apply to every game and situation, so dont take everything too literal.

Just keep doing what works for you and absorb any information you can. Judge for yourself whether it works in your games or not.

this question is worded so horribly. Wow, what are you even trying to ask?
