New Runes System

Hey! I was wondering would anyone be kind enough to explain the runes system a little more detailed? I didn't quite find myself any satisfying explanations, what I really want to know what would general runes be for supports, mid laners, adc's. I haven't had time to play much and try to figure things out since I still have a lot of work for Uni (but soon holidays!!), I am generally confused because before I'd make masteries sometimes for general category of champions, and sometimes for a champion itself, now I'm having a bit of a trouble of transferring that into the new system. If you have a good YT link if you can't be bothered to type that be good too. Thanks in advance ^-^[slayer-jinx-catface]

We are all confused, and the meta isn't established. We are in a state of trial and error. Not only that, the development team is working on balances. So, even if you were to get your answer today, that answer may change tomorrow.

Look at professional play. We saw Annie top lane twice last night. That is something we would have laughed at in Season 7.

The game is ever changing. You will have to pick a role, a champion, and then think about what will benefit you most. You can look at guides to help you. Each guide will most likely be different. It will be that way until we are deep into Season 8 and the meta is fully established until new patches arrive.

Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to know more detailed for how it now even though it's now even if it can be changed tomorrow, so maybe then I could get a grasp of it when I get understanding. What I mean, I do see pro players, but they, of course what is expected, know better what to do with these runes and why exactly these ones, that's what I'm looking for, but of course, I get what you're getting at. The best way of looking at the new rune system is - everything is essentially a keystone now with a mega keystone harboring over the others. Base stats are essentially gone, so it's all just new ways of changing your playstyle around runes.

So have a look at the runes and pick things that amplify your gameplay style, there's honestly no right or wrong answer.

I just don't know what keystones would be the best, for example I saw some runes for Nami, mostly mixing sorcery and inspiration, in my case, I wouldn't do that (Nami is my main), I would absolutely go with resolve as my primary, but as I've been seeing ones way different than mine, I kind of gave up from my ideas and what I think would fit the best. And honestly I don't want to be attacked for having "weird" runes since apparently people get offended on different styles, that's why mostly I asked what would in general good ones and maybe from there I could work it out.
