Dodging Punishments

So, I'll set the scenario. Your finally in your promos, and you queue up for your first game, you lock in your champion and quickly get counter picked and know in your mind that, "I'm going to lose his for my team if I play this match-up" So you dodge, hoping for last pick or an easier matchup. When you log onto league you lose 10 LP and a 30 MINUTE penalty. The time penalty makes sense to me, but the LP loss doesn't, this loss could've gone to the WHOLE team, and probably a few reports for feeding. Instead; I leave stopping me from playing awhile but giving my teammates an easier time in ranked. OR what if the scenario was someone was toxic in team builder and threating to feed if they didn't get mid ect. Then the LP loss would be even MORE unreasonable.

Im not aware when this was implemented or why it was but Rito, from someone trying to climb out of bronze. Plz
