Had a game last night supporting the worst "smurf" I've ever seen that we won because our mid and jungle stayed positive and pulled through. Is really nice having someone to peel for as Nami when you spend the being sulking because your ADC is shoring up to be useless.
Reminds me of a game I had yesterday to win my series, 6k gold down at 24 minutes; our top lane got countered pretty hard and our mid laner was having connection issues for a lot of lane phase, bot lane was around even or even losing a bit during lane phase, but our teamfight/synergy/teamwork was flat out better than theirs. Amumu lockdown + Wukong knock up + Lasers from Lux and AP Ezreal mid, with Corki constantly shredding. A few won teamfights and fed carries meant we just rolled through the late game. There was a bit of frustration early, but my team kept our heads in the game and made good plays, while their top laner was a bit toxic; trash talking our top when he was winning and blaming his team when he was losing.
It's not high level or anything but I played a game last night against a 4man team with a Plat Lee Sin. Lee wrecked top, pressured the game and at 32 minutes we were down 14K, with the score at 48-22 in their favor. Leona started whining and saying she gave up.
However, they were not good at closing out the game. We get a good group engagement, ace them, take down the top inhib and then get wrecked at Baron. We respawn and Leona just jumps on Warwick right outside our base. It was a terrible idea but I decided to win or end the game and Fid ult'd over. They had built no armor or MR, going all damage. We shredded them. Nasus, who was getting wrecked the whole game, TPs to the top inhib, takes it out, tanks both towers and almost solos the nexus. Heh.
