View Advanced Details could use some additions
I noticed this from my immense playing of Urf this month. I decided I would try to make an URF note page related closely to my Ranked note page. It is a little harder to manage some data, such as the skewed champion damage and cs scores; however, I simply use URF data for "macro game decisions." I enter all data by hand in Microsoft Excel, and perform limited statistical analysis using both Excel and R and R-studio. I use it as a way to play and train myself on R and R-studio.
Generally, View Advanced Details(VAD) needs some work, it is essentially just a glorified version of the current grid/graph system in client--mainly it fits into a window which we can resize, and is pretty.
say for instance, my support made good plays and got my ADC many kills, but then my marksmen became overly confident and began to dive a lot--the circles can easily reflect this; however, so does the K/D/A ratio.
The only actual benefit of using the function for my note taking--which is fairly extensive--is that it allows me to pinpoint where swings in games happen. Particularly, I find it easy to notice when on a matches timeline the objectives are taken. Dragon, Baron, and Inhibitors, all have their own symbols and I love that. There is no reason we shouldn't have counters for D/B/I "kills, assists, and stolen."
The "stolen" counter would be particularly useful in both the up and coming champion mastery experiment, and many players personal note taking.
The addition of a discrete objective counter could greatly benefit many players. In particular the inclusion of the "Inhibitors Destroyed" and an "Inhibitor Destruction Assist" row on the VAD, as well as respective Dragon, and Baron "Steal, Assist, and Kill," rows would greatly increase the statistical power of the current VAD.
I feel that the addition of these counters could not only expedite my own, and many players note taking, but likewise could also improve the understanding of the roles of particular champions across leagues to Riot personnel directly.
For instance, Lee Sin is widely accepted as a dangerous, high skill, high risk, medium reward Jungler. If Riot used my proposed feature to check up on Lee Sin and found an 80% Dragon Steal rate across the season, he may be noted to be more of a high reward pick.
- My own personal notes reflect a dragon steal rate of about 75% for Lee Sin, but that is limited to both low ranking and a low sample size--I've only had 4 games with a Lee Sin this season, and of those only 4 dragon steals attempted.
I feel that including counters for particular camps within each teams jungle could be useful; however, on average, would only muddle data. I feel that the current system of using, "Neutral Minions Killed in Enemy Jungle" shows enough to understand which champions are counter jungling, and which aren't.
I would make a video displaying both my methods and the utility of this, but I don't know how to. Likewise, my statistical methods are that I found that 100*(3/4)=75%.
I feel that this fits into gameplay and balance only in that it would provide neat data to those who care for it. It's like letting players in footie see their shot interceptions.
Edit: i notice the title should have read "Match History" not "View Advanced Details," but oh well. I'm don't feel that's worth a repost.
