Farewell League of Legends

Thank you Lol for the fun times that have passed during theese years as it used to be a great game. Im just stunned and a little upset about how I got a 14-day ban that I feel was very unfair, and hence Im not going to support this game by buying RP, skins and the likes and rather move on to another game such as HoTS or Dota and spend my money and support theese games instead. So you can rather set it as a perma ban if thats the case.

This new automated system is not working for a number of reasons as for one it takes in to consideration if you had alot of frequent reports and as stated in other threads people get reported for no reason all the time such as: If you are jungler and didn't do any ganks you are reported, if you had a bad game and they camp your lane and you die, people will report you, if you pick a new or unconventional champ you will be flamed and reported. Especially so when you are on a loosing streak as I was as imo people will always want to report someone.

Long story short I went trundle support which isnt a greif pick and a hero that I played to great success as a support earlier. What then happens after just a short session into the game when this duo (mid and jungler) who wasn't doing good, started to flame and harass me for picking trundle - both of them. I hadn't done a single thing to them nor accused them for feeding or anything and I've had a bad day so I flipped out on them for harassing me who haven't done anything wrong. And then they even both afked, which I reported them for but other people probably were too lazy. So I get banned because of course both in this duo report me and I do know for a fact (OP.gg) that they didnt get punished at all.

That's just totally wrong and a system that I cannot support. If I had gotten a chat ban, then fine that's what I meybe deserved but a ban since they both started harassing me and that they both just afked and flamed and get away with it that's just wrong. There was even proof in the chatlogs were they said they refuse to play and still they get away with it. I would also agreed to all of us getting the same punishment (14 day ban), as that would also be fair. But seeing that players like this, who blame others just because of a champion pick (cause we were doing ok at bot, I was 0-1-1 and at the end 3-1-5). And then they both AFK and screw the game for the rest of the team and they don't even get punished, it's just so wrong. IMO it's players like this who needs to be purged first from the game, the ones that start thoose toxic fights and get people frustrated, as I feel from the games I've played that people in general flame back when flamed upon. Hence get rid of the once that starts the flaming. Of course flaming back should still be punished.

And I don't write this cause I think that riot will do anything about it but to shed some light on what's wrong with the system. One suggestion that I'd like to see in cases like this would be if you get to know if any actions were taken on the other player, as I might had thought that if we all got the same punishment I wouldn't be too upset by the decision since we were all equally stupid and probably think both once and twice next time before saying something stupid or raging in game. But seeing how this automated system works and how unfair it is I won't be spending any time or money on this.

The system really does check if reports are valid before giving a punishment... it's not perfect, but it's not stupid either. People that keep reporting for nonsense get their report's weight reduced too. Also, I don't think you mentioned this but I will anyway; multiple reports in a match don't stack to mean any more than one, which means premade groups can't gang up on a player unfairly.

If you feel your ban wasn't warranted, you can try submitting a Support Ticket to contest it. They'll take a look real quick, but they hold the system to a very high standard of accuracy and there are few false positive, so you'll likely receive a response that they can't/won't do anything. It is worth a shot if you really didn't deserve it, though.

Just because you spend money on this game (I don't care the amount) doesn't give you the right to be an jerk in-game and harass, verbally abuse and use racial or homophobic slurs towards anyone.

You also shouldn't engage in a fight or argue with an aggressor because it makes matters worse. Not only for you, but your entire team as it's a disruption of gameplay.

As said above, If you truly believe it's unfair and unwarranted, submit a ticket to Riot Support.

I never ever said that, just saying that lol would be a better place if the aggressors were punished harder in the first place as that would make the flame in games a lot less. Because a lot of players not only me will respond to that on a bad day. So if people that started doing this in the first place got punished harder it would be less of a problem.

You can just forget about Dota/Dota2 immediately because if League is too toxic for you, Dota will make you wish you weren't born.

I am saying all of this as a Dota player, just sticks to HotS.

The only toxic players in Dota, that I've seen, were russians.

Ah, another "I'm leaving because I was banned" thread. Yeah, by that answer I can in no way see you being toxic to teammates which led you to being banned, it must have been that troll duo. No matter if you can't really be banned for the outcome of a single game, let alone a 14 days ban.

You're always welcome to post the chat logs or just leave quietly.

Well it's agitators like you who make the community what it is to be honest. Oh wait I forgot that you have all details in this matter, and I'm sure by this response you must have read it all. If you did actually read it I'm not opposing the ban, rather that the actions not taken for both flaming and going AFK deliberately leaving the rest of us to fight 3v5 cause that must be a perfectly acceptable behavior ;)

Well I played it prior to starting lol and I can recollect that there were some cases but that in general tbh it isn't as bad as lol. But I agree, hots so far seems to be the by far best one if you don't like flaming.

However there's a very simple solution to your problem: Stop being toxic and use the mute/ignore button. Then you won't get banned.

BrutalODamage2 votes

Well why have a report system at all then? Just say that everyone is obligated to use the button and it's all fine.

Because muting doesn't magically make toxic people go away ... only banning them does.
