I come back to this game after being gone half a year. and i see every single person, their mailman, their mom, their god damn dog. playing udry sona and yi. if its not banned its being played.
i look at the list of new items and think wow this is stupid. do i choose dead mans plate or randuins? duskblade? where is this item?
im not even going to get into the mastery trees. im not.

They all have higher pick rate than Sona. ALTHOUGH she did get cute skin now, so her popularity went from one of the least picked to average.

Dont look ranked stats. Look global stats all modes. Guy that opened thread isnt lvl 30 and only plays normals.

Then your list is inaccurate if using normals pick rate. So, why are you using information to fit your argument but when someone else does it's wrong? Even the champions played in 3 positions that you listed have lower pick rates than she does in 1 single position.

Sona is picked more than them, factoring in normals, which means your list is incorrect. Even factoring rank (all ranges), she's picked more than some of them. Want to count Arams? She's in them more often than champions like Bard etc (3x his pick rate there). Your list is only accurate if you're using rank statistics for plat+.
