Ivern Friend of the Forest Has a silence?

So if you have seen the clip that riot posted and watched it you can see that Ivern can grow bushes and also bind people with roots. But if you listen carefully the hunter's cry for help is getting muffled by his roots and once Ivern's roots glow yellow that's binding the hunter his muffled cries are silenced and can no longer be heard.
