Riot should start locking new champions in ranked

Ranked is basically there for people to tryhard in, why are people allowed then to play champions that they have literally never played before. Essentially, in a mode where to goal is to play optimally, playing a champion that you have never played before is by definition, sub-optimal. A simple fix would be to lock all champions that you arent at least mastery 3 on. With a flat time for new and reworked champs. This way, you can not only learn the champ, but people can learn how to play against it if its super broken.

They have explained in the past that they will never do this as it only delays the problem to the date the bans lifted, it would also interfere with LCS playability.

Agreed on new/reworked champions Vastly disagree on "sub mastery 3" I play a large list a champions and don't play all day every day, as a result I only have high mastery on a small number, am I just locked out from playing ranked then? No that doesn't make any sense
