A WAY TO ELIMINATE WAIT TIMES IN MATCH MAKING

Admins, please send this up + I'm sorry if it has been already said. After waiting for 20 minutes for a support to join my match making team it has become apparent to me that Riot to create more incentive for people to play support. I know that they changed a few game play aspects of the role to make it more exciting (gold items, token wards....), but still there aren't enough. Maybe reward consistent support players with riot points?

This will encourage more players to pick this role + give us more games!

not a good business practice Riot would never do that.

Their is already an incentive to play support. "Shorter Wait times" I can go into Team builder and Q up as a support and get into game pretty quick. (And with Jungle as of the new season.)

No, no, no. You will just see people queing up as support to get the bonus and play whatever they like in the roll.

The problem with Team Builder is the same issue that Dungeon Finder had in World of Warcraft. The "non fun" roles are played by less people. (Granted I played holy priest to heal there for years) The idea of Team Builder is just flawed. It works if all of your player base were about equal on what roles they liked to play. But that is not the way with support and jungle (esp now that jungle just doesn't feel fun). Truth be told Riot should prolly just abandon the idea of trying to fix Team Builder and move on to something else. Every game with a dedicated healer (and tank) seems to have this same problem.

As a host you can ban players who try to game the system and pick w/e champ they want. If they pick a support, and just troll they would be reported at the end of game. Not saying to give points to just anyone, but maybe supports that get consistently honored should have an extra IP boost, or riot points.

I think this incentive would increase the pool of players that are willing to take on that role.

But it wouldn't really change the main crux of the issue. Less people find playing jungle and support as fun. Until that is changed, Team Builder is a failed concept.
