@riot How to stop smite from being used in top and mid (ezreal, hecarim, etc)

Hello, like we all have seen lately, some champions may abuse the power of the jungle items, like ezreal and hecarim. To reduce the power of these jungle items just because some champions may abuse it wouldnt be fair to the actual junglers, so I think a good idea to stop this is to establish a limit of 1 smite per team.

This way, not only will there be just 1 smite per team but it would also help to stop trolls from picking double jungler or stuff like that. Let me know what you guys think.

TLDR: just let each team have only 1 player with smite.

Why should they? If someone is willing to exchange flash or teleport for smite, it's their choice. How would you feel if only mid could take ignite? Only Support could take heal?

because they cannot give junglers good/useful things if solo laners are going to abuse it so in order to give junglers things like Cinderhulk/Runeglaive, you must either nerf all of the abuse cases or just prevent them from buying it in the first place.

Make it so that smite effects (challenging) come online after you clear at least 5 (just a random number) big monsters from the jungle. This way it's not that easy to access it as laner, unless you give up lane cs and share stuff with the jungler which is far from optimal.

I love your idea

it would affect junglers... also, champions like hekkarim and shyvana won't feel much of a difference, i think

K, Smite used to be for jungling.

But who cares anyway, it's the diversity, it doesn't make champions overpowered just because of one item/red smite.

They already said they don't want to keep it out of lanes,

Way too easy to troll, imagine for a second third pick chooses a jungler and last pick wanted jg so he trolls and picks a jg champ and smite, if he buys before the real jg then he is sol, same with if ppl still decided to lane with smite anyways.
