Advice For New Player?

First of all, I'd like to say sorry if this is in the wrong place. This season is my first season ever playing ranked. I got placed into Silver 2, and sometimes I get stomped but sometimes I do great. Are their any tips you guys could give me to get better. I usually play mid with Zoe.

The best advice I can give you is this:

Find a high elo zoe streamer and watch some of his vods.

Zoemains reddit is probabaly a good place to find one.

edit- faker himself just did a guide on mid zoe, it is on the subreddit.

  1. Learn to cs. It's the safest and fastest way to gain advantage

  2. Never play ranked while tilted. My rule is two ranked losses in a row and I play normals. Three normal wins in a row and I'll try ranked again.

  3. Mute people. If anyone on either team seems toxic then mute them.

  4. Learn to keep eyes on you mini map. My trick is to count to 4 in your head, music helps with this, at at every 4 count look at the mini map.

  5. Dodge games if champ select looks too hairy. Only our LP takes a hit, not your MMR. It's mmr that really matters in the long run.

  6. Remember to have fun. If the game is getting stressful then make jokes, try to smile, take a break, keep the game enjoyable for you and win or lose you'll enjoy climbing.

  7. Ranked is about grinding. If you play consistently and hav at least a 51% win rate you'll climb.

  8. If you want to climb master one champ better than anyone can hope to beat. If you want to improve at the game learn a bunch of champs so you can learn their various match ups and how other lanes function.

  9. Be aware of creep aggro. If your attacking an enemy champion in their wave early level then you're going to lose due to minions hurting A LOT.

  10. Lower elos cant handle aggression well. If you learn how to poke, zone, and your champions damage most lower rated players will zone themselves or dive you for no reason other than "I thought I could"

Np. I'm just ratcheting off the list of random facts I learned over the years. 1, 2, and 7 are the most important to remember though.

the best advise i can give u is... don't think for a second you are actually deserve to be silver 2. when people give u advise in game.. LISTEN to them.. chances are they know what they are talking about.

as a player who has place between bronze 4 to silver1.

every single new player i have ever seen, has played at the lvl of a bronze 3-4. (including myself) and i placed silver 1 in season 3 straight out of promos.

learn the champions matchups, focus on a small number of champsions.. but become familiar with the general abilities of every champion.
