How fcked up is the matching system of ranked??
my side: everyone on a losing streak. enemy side: everyone has been winning since yesterday.

I would love to engage on a conversation to determine whether Riot matchmaking has more parameters than the 1 we are told. Basically Riot tells us we are matched only using our MMR. I would say there are at least 2 more paramaters but without some solid data such claims will never hold any water (and rightfully so).
It would be awesome if we could get some people to map their matchmaking for the whole of season 9 to draw some conclusions from that. In fact it would be feasible to make a whole university-scale study. The one thing riot would have to do is show us that elusive MMR number. And is there a reason we can't see the 1 parameter that determines our matchmaking?
Last night i had a Bronze player, finished last 3 seasons in Bronze on my team in a gold 2 game. Literally everyone else was gold or plat.

I'm having a losing streak right now. Literally every game there's an afk or troll, toxic duo, or new players to x champion/role. It is so obvious that it is not a coincidence. "Why even bother playing?" I wonder.
I have 30% winrate rigth now and feels like bullshit.
I see people that doessn't even know the basis of the game, proceed to give the enemy team 3 kills in the first 5 minutes of game, or blatanly troll.
I just finished a game: an ADC with tank runes (what the actual fuck…?), and a midlaner feeding both the enemy midlaner and the enemy jungler… It's just imppossible to carry this shit. Even when I do a good game, I have a high chance of losing anyway.
And I have say it a thousand times already, but thanks to the burst meta, the stupid snowball, and the total impossibility to make come backs, the game is getting decided in the first 5 minutes and that's boooooring.
If things are going to still like this, i want an option to surrender at 10 by simple mayority and without needing 5 positives votes. I have already wasted a couple of hours in games that were clearly lost, and we are just starting the season, for Gods sake...
Well, I had a team with 4 diamond 4 vs a team full of masters. All 5 of the masters had 70%+ win rate, my whole team had 30% winrate except me with 76%.
We lose, hard.
Then I went to the next game. it happens.

It's actually really terrible right now. I don't want to sound negative but there is nothing good about new ranked. You said yourselves, rito, that you would revert if it wasn't working out.

Just bare it in mind if someone is boosting a player from a lower rank. The enemy team with have someone equal to that level on the other team. What makes it worst is that if the lower rank individual is in a important role like Jungle, Mid, or Top lane. It's gonna be a loss if the enemy jungle, mid, or top is at your rank or higher then them.
I really would like players to look at their teammates more often. I don't advise this, but it does happen a lot. You will know if the game is lost before it starts.
I kept being matchmade with bronzies in Silver 3 matches. What the fuck? Thus system is even worse than previous and doesn't fullfill the purpose if fair matchmaking.
Amazing how many 0-10 bot lanes I can get in a row without thinking that riot is intentionally pairing my with sub-tier laners vs superior-tier laners on the other team
Yesterday a friend and I (we're both silver 2) got matched with a first-timer, the entire enemy team was gold and low plat
Ranked promos: Irellia bot with cleanse (no heal and taric duo on my team in a game then immediately the next game.
Feels the same for me. It is almost like the score of the match is determined from the very beginning. If you are lucky you win, if you are not you lose. Matches feel RNG as fuck.
Not sure. Usually I can win three lose two type thing. Had a few days where my wife was out of town so I just played league all day and went on a 15 game win streak.
It feels better than before. Now you only get the iron 5s 3/10 times instead of 99/100, massive improvement. Not good enough but massive improvement.

I play ranked for free skin and then never go back. Matchmaking is weird as hell there
Every year I tell myself I'm just tilting,a nd matchmaking isn't streak based, but the evidence has just stacked up and is hard to overcome. A friend told me last year if you lose 3 in a row play normals until you win then go back to ranked and my winrate rose 10%
I just stop caring about winning and losing tbh, it helps avoid tilt.
