Legends or runeterra is still in beta im pretty sure

"Beta" is a buzzword that is abused by modern day companies to excuse bad design & bugs. Make no mistake, Runeterra already has monetary purchases, IT IS NOT IN BETA. THIS IS A FULL-RELEASE GAME.

That aside, this game feels like it was thrown together by a bunch of casual MtG & HS players. Not a single serious player or Rulings Judge in the lot of them. There are broken mechanics & game contradictions everywhere I look. These kids have no idea how to design a card game.

  • "Spell Mana" is a failed concept. Cheating mana costs is extremely difficult to balance & has been the downfall of multiple previous card games. HS, Naruto, etc.
  • Split Second is a power level 7 on the Storm Scale, it CANNOT be an evergreen mechanic (which are typically power level 1.)
  • Provoke should not be capable of forcing IMPOSSIBLE blocks. If a creature is incapable of blocking (such as the attacker has Flying or "Fearsome") then it cannot block. End of story. Functionally & logically, another mechanic which does not otherwise say that it can break the rules, should thusly not be allowed to break the rules. This makes me think the devs are filthy casuals who do not understand basic rules comprehensions & believe they can make up whatever shite they want, like Konami.

Cheating Mana costs is done all the time in MTG thou. They seem to be doing pretty well.

Cards that cheat mana costs frequently get banned for doing so.

  • Once Upon a Time
  • Almost every Mox ever
  • Dig Through Time
  • Gitaxian Probe
  • Hogaak (this card was 100% of the format when it was legal)
  • KCI
  • Rite of Flame
  • Seething Song
  • Flash
  • Channel

...and this is still only a fraction of the cards that are banned for cheating mana costs.

Wait so you're complaining about bad game design, but then you complain about challenger being the counter to elusive. If challenger didn't counter elusive then demacia would seriously only be able to kill elusives with purify. Sorry bro but they have to give us meatheads some counterplay to the OP Ionian decks.

Do you even think about what you're saying before you say it? Flying creatures can block non-Flying creatures, they just can't BE BLOCKED by non-Flying. There is literally jack shit in what I said related to your post, please actually try to fucking read what people are saying before you misinterpret it.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Provoke working against Flyers. The point that I was making is that Provoke should not work against 2 or lower power if the provoker also has "Fearful." "Fearful" makes it literally impossible for 2 & under to block & absolutely nowhere in Provoke's wording does it make any implication that it can force impossible blocks. Rules, design & comprehension fail.

The devs either need to completely rewrite Provoke's reminder text or remove the contradiction altogether. My vote would be for the latter.

This isn't magic tho bro, this is runeterra. The game logic is not the same.

Pika3101 votes

Magic isn't perfect & most of their formats are fucking messes right now, but logic is logic is still logic. Mana cheating has killed multiple card games & it will kill this one too if they choose to repeat that mistake instead of learn from it.

Game logic is different between games.

It's okay to be wrong.

Yeah it is, why won't you accept it.

and what champs are you talking about? because imo the only champ who needs a nerf is tryn.

i dont get why tryn basically using his ult ends up with him having 125% more hp. (starting with 4 and ending up with 9)

he should be a 8/5 and after his death a 9/2. way more to what he is when he ults in LoL. not at 1 hp but at around 100.

imo the only "unkillable champ" is heimerdingers spell mania. and thats only if he has his denies ready.

Tryndamere isn't that hard to deal with especially with frostbites.
