Dear Riot,

Please revert back to the old Sion. This new version is a far cry from what his lore portrays him to be and he is already an irrelevant champ. Old Sion could be counted on to soak up damage as well as give it out. New Sion bloz deformed, monkey raping goats in hell!!!!

Oh for the good old days!!

Sincerely,

I long time player/fan

The new Sion can actually and is actually played... No reason to go back to the old one and lore does not determine game play.

This champion gets played as a super-lifesteal melee ADC or a stun-and-run Mage.

If we remake him as one or the other, it'll piss off part of his fanbase. So instead, let's remake him as a Tank with only one of his skill sort-of intact and piss all his fanbase off!

He's gotten much more popularity after his rework, i don't see why they should revert him back to old Sion. He is much more fun to play and requires a lot more skill than old Sion. He's great rn.

See, what Riot should have done is rework Sion into a melee ADC. They've shown with Samurai Bob that they've figured out how to make such a champion actually functional. Then release a new champion in the same patch, a Mage that has elements of Sion's old castery kit. In this fashion, both sides of Sion's fanbase would get something that feels familiar to them instead of getting a single new champion that completely alienates both.

I'm with ya. Thematic train week of a rework.
