Am i the only one who thinks ranked MMR is bugged

so i hit master tier then proceed to get 2 games with d4 and d3 player and the que only lasted 3 mins. the second it droped me to d1 my que goes to 10+ mins and the game put me with d1- d2 players. Why is it i can get matched with people i can't duo with. I understand i would have to wait longer but to get the more higher skill cap it would be worth. As a support player i could get my adc ahead but it wont matter if he miss positions and we lose off it.
