AP Varus

So is there a reason why AP Varus is as broken as it is, and has not been nerfed? If you go pure AP on him and combine it with Guinsoo's, he cannot be matched in terms of raw damage. He can melt tanks, despite their MR, he three shots everyone else, and there does not seem to be anything to do about it besides a LOT of CC. Does anyone have any tips, or at least, have any good reason to why Varus is allowed to be this powerful, when ADCs like Jhin have had their Guinsoo's compatibility removed while Varus' remains?

Because Jhinsoo's was ridiculous and having 1.5k AD was ridiculous. While I don't like playing against AP Varus in any way shape or form, he isn't that strong in comparison to other AD. Yeah he can melt tanks but hes pretty squishy and short ranged most of the time so if you have a high damage dealer on your team like an Assassin or a Caitlyn/Twitch/Tristana/Kog'maw you can out range him and effectively kill him before he can hurt you. I have grievances with AP itemization in the first place, so my hatred towards it stems more towards the items than Varus.

He's actually not broken and is overshadowed by many other adc's for climbing soloQ currently.

Varus was designed to have multiple build paths. Guinsoo's was one of them. Jhin's was the cause of a mathematical error on Riot's part. Guinsoo's gave him more AD than it should've been.
