Why is Riot gradually removing point-click and instant abilities?

Riot says they have little counterplay which may be true but they are the only thing that works on all this mobility.

The older traditional champs get no benefit for having little to no mobility and you feel as if there is nothing you can do with the endless dashes. Immobile champions playing versus high mobility is like having no counterplay too.

My point is we are tired of this no cost (both resource based and free ) mobility while riot just protects this mobility meta.
