Thinking about giving up on League/improving at League

I've played league for about a year or two as far as it goes, but I occasionally take month-long breaks from the game after getting repeatedly stomped over and over again, I realize if I played more consistently I might have some chance of becoming a semi-decent player but with how I can internally rage fairly easily on stressful games like this I'm thinking I'm better off dropping the game entirely.

For some background information, I'm not exactly a super high level nor do I play ranked, however I mostly just play casually but my main issue is I can never have fun playing the game because I always feed or I just sorta lose all the time.

In all fairness, I'd like to say I'm part of the predicament that I am in, since I am unable to gather the time and energy to research how to do things better as well as listening to nonsensical advice about how I can "learn" from more experienced players (which are the ones I always seem to get matched up against) not to mention the fact that I look for opportunities to learn from the opponent that killed me, but for some odd reason there really isn't much for me to read into as to why I was killed other than the fact that the enemy was always able to somehow do more damage than I could, so I always lose trades as well.

On a side note, I'm mostly passive and try to make light with everyone even if I'm ticked off at the time so I usually always go fill so that my teammates can get the roles they want. Although most of the time when that happens I usually am forced to do jungle or support, which I am horrid at.

So basically what I'm saying is what should I do? Should I continue the spiral into madness in an effort to get to a level where I can actually have fun playing? Or should I just drop it entirely and save months work of heartbreak?
