Master Yi has 80% true damage? It's a no tank meta.

**EDIT: I compared the wrong numbers for the 80%. Turns out against champions it comes to around 33%. ** Just played against a Yi and lost again as Sejuani. Let me tell you how bad this feels. Yi gets dominated and killed 1-4 early to mid game. As soon as he picks up rageblade though, he starts killing those way ahead of him.

I built a thornmail, ninja tabis, frozen heart, and a warmogs as key defensive items. Yet, there is simply NO ITEM in the game that can counter champions that abuse true damage the way it's working now. Tanks are really in a bad, bad place. I die in less than a few seconds against Yi, and so does our massive Cho-gath who also stacked defensive armor items. We were by no means behind either... we were actually winning the game up to Yi acquiring Rageblade.

Here's some of the numbers to consider from my last game: Yi tops the damage charts at 35.9k, while his TRUE DAMAGE is 29k. Maths say this is just over 80% true damage done by Master Yi. Can anyone dispute how badly balanced this is? What can you do, as a tank, to counter auto-attacking true damage?

Right now? Nothing.

Have you actually tried to cc him? Since it sounds like you just afked and let him hit you.

Like looking at your op.gg the yi was pretty fed. He had by far the most gold in the game. So maybe complain when a champion isn't fed. Like any damage champion will kill a tank pretty fast when fed that is just how league works.

Like yi isn't good. He is only good if you do nothing vs him. You're sejuani ult him and then he is dead.

Why lie when I can easily look up the game in question?

Yi's total damage to champs was 29.1k. His true damage was 9.9k. Still a lot, but not even close to the ratio you tried to pass off as real.

You are not supposed to 1v1 Yi as a tank. He is a tank-killer, you are a tank. You also can't 1v1 Fiora, Vayne and some other champions as a tank. Group as 5, start teamfighting, chain-CC him after his Q(your Q-Chogath's Q-your E, can also add R if needed but he should be already dead at that point), enjoy your autowin.

Tabis, Sterak's and stoneplate. Then stack some more hp, Warmogs is good. You're trying to use the stoneplate active before Sterak's gives the shield for extra bonus health to increase the shield value. If you have 2.5k hp base, you'll have about 4.5k effective. Not a lot of cdr or defensive stats, but it's what you got.

You shouldn't be locking Sejuani without banning Yi regardless You can barely abuse his early game when he's weakest due to the cooldown's now on your Q and he's designed to shred tanks, that's been his purpose since his inception

There's no rougher matchup for Sejuani than Yi, ban him out if you are going to play her

You probably mistook the True Damage Done with the True Damage Done to Champions stat. The former means ALL TRUE DAMAGE DONE, which translates to creep and object damage as well. So I can be perfectly sure it's not 80%.

As for the topic: Seju isn't a solo q champion to begin with, because she is team reliant. Yi isn't good against all tanks, because I know from experience that Rammus and Shen can fuck him up, but he just counters Seju. Yi is basically toast if he gets hit by a CC, which followed up by burst.

Jerry SeinfeId10/29/2019, 2:32:14 PM1 votes

you can CC him so your team can burst him. Aside from that you can't do shit on your own it's how tanks work and it's also why most ppl don't really like playing em. don't expect to carry, try to force your teammates to carry. end ASAP.

Yi is an extreme case in Melee tank shredders as he literally has nothing else aside from dps. He has no CC or real defensive steroids so he relies on shredding you before he gets blown up. And honestly this sounds like it went to lategame, you just straight up lose if his team isn't incompetent (or if he's actually gotten ahead himself somehow).
