Getting random lag now

Since the new patch I'm starting to get random lag spikes. My ping isn't spiking but every 8 seconds or so the game will just stop for about half a second. I can't input anything and then after the .5 seconds everything shifts to make up for the frozen time. It gets really frustrating when I'm trying to gank and I really hope something gets done about it.
