problem with the cost?
They are wanting it to be a level 1 buy to help prevent that ~3 minute gank. It's barely been worked on so expect several changes or complete removal of it.
It pings a general area, but you don't know the champion, what buffs they have, how much health they have, what direction they're going in, or anything. All you know is that someone is there. Less gold for far less information.
On top of that, it's exceedingly experimental. Honestly, it feels way more experimental than things usually do on PBE.
actually pinging is better than vision in low elo, since... you know... lack of map awareness, who the hell bother seeing minimap in low elo?
