Nocturne ULT

I've been playing Nocturne recently and I find that his ult range is way too short. Whenever I'm ganking, the enemy always sees me on the map because of the short range. Any ideas on a better way to gank?

the ult range on noc used to be WAY higher, the range it has now doesn't even compare to the old range. But they reduced the range because it was basically a targeted TF ult, which riot deemed too oppressive early game.

Sweep any bushes as you prepare your gank, ask the lane you're ganking if a bush is warded. If they don't know and you can't sweep it then just assume it is warded with a counter-gank coming. You don't always have to gank from max range either. The sheer panic of not knowing where the gank is until it hits is a big part of the ability. All jungle champions rely on a lack of enemy vision to a degree but I feel it's even more important for Nocturne.

They either have a stealth ward or a pink ward in the push. or you just suck at using nocturnes ult to gank

I am good with Nocturne but I think that he should have a bigger range on his ult

I haven't tired him so I have no idea on his range but when I play against/with one they always seem to kill when they ult

His range is what it was on release now unless it was changed (4500 at rank 3). It's only recently been changed back to this longer range from a much shorter version. Any longer and it would be far too powerful and push him into permanently banned territory from nowhere.
