Hi,

I am in silver 3, my mmr has been a division higher for about 2 weeks (silver 2) and yet when i win, i get 16 p, and a loss costs me 18. why is that, when my mmr is so much higher? Also, i used to be in silver 1 gaining 24 lp a win...

Also, yes, it is higher, my last 10 ranked games ive lost only once and got A- S's every game with the highest CS & highest KD. (so please dont answer my MMR is actually low because it isnt)

Any help? the games not feeling fair at the moment i shouldn't need to go 30/0 to get out of silver

Sorry but if you're losing more than you're gaining your MMR is definitely lower... Your MMR is hidden, sites like op.gg can only give you a rough estimate of your MMR.

Your grade doesn't impact your LP gain or loss.

Your LP losses and gains are directly affected by how much you win or lose. Of course this is over a course of numerous games and cannot be fixed within a few games. For every 1 game you lose you'd have to win 3 games in order to compensate. Of the last 10 games where you've lost 1 game you've technically only won 6 games just because of that 1 loss. You won't start seeing 18-20+ LP any time soon unless you're going over a 48% win rate.

So far as climbing goes it depends if you just want to hit Gold or if you want to go beyond that. If you just want to hit Gold just try and brush up on your mechanics and a little bit on how you play. If you want to go beyond Gold then you'll have to change your mentality towards how you play.

Mmr is solely decided by your win/loss, nothing about performance, cs, kda, whatever. If you're losing lp more than winning it, then your mmr is below and you're in the process of farming. I'd you're consistently losing games where you're in the carry position then I would recommend looking into why you're unable to carry but your opponents can. Maybe they're rotating better, spending gold better, or playing to their win conditions. Perhaps a mix of things, it's a person to person basis. (also, if you're losing every game you don't carry, learn to lose lane gracefully and support your team so you win some of those games. It really helps you climb quicker.)
