Is Corki still Viable

With the new TriForce, do you still think Corki is viable? If so what would you build first 3 items?

Corki didnt use the crit on TF as much to begin with. He doesnt basic attack as much, being an AD caster and all. Why dont you try building him AS an AD caster instead of a cookie cutter?

Also, trinity force was originally a fighter item riot made into an ADC item for no reason. all they did was return it to its rightful owners.

Ellipses to start a post? Drama queen alert

This topic has been beaten to death, columbo.
Ellipses are a space, in this case, theyre akin to an incredulous stare; "How do you not know the answer to this when its been beaten to death like a baby seal?"

GP hasnt changed. Ezreal hasnt changed.

Oh wait those are the only champions who actually built trinity force. Now its built by fighters, like it should be.

Yeah this is a forum not a soap opera or one of your shitty animes. We don't need you make believe staring at people who you can't even see. Furthermore you're trying to create drama by mentioning it was made for fighters. That doesn't really have shit to do with anything, you just want someone to tell you "no" so you can start an argument. Which is why you were incapable of brushing off my post and going about your day. You NEED that drama to live. You big drama queen.

I was just asking bud... Not about Ezreal or GP so you had no purpose to bring them up. The only thing that should be gawked at is how much of an ass you were to a starting player who asked a simple question. Thanks

item 3078 has been core in Corki's builds since at least season 2. Bruisers/fighters built the item back then as well. It has never "just" belonged to fighters, or melee champions in general.

It has always been an item meant for champions that enjoy item 3057 and need a mix of stats that are otherwise hard to itemize for.

Thats very wrong.

Trinity force was always meant to be a fighter item - plain and simple. It wasnt until zeal had crit added to it that trinity became a 'marksman item'. It wasnt until GP was reworked that he even liked the new trinity force as much. Trinity force yasuo was hardly popular... theres wasted stats.

Irelia Jax Nasus XinZhao Yorick were all powerful fighters who didnt want or utilize crit to very good effect. Semi-caster fighters, champions who laced abilities between auto attacks, were who trinity force was created for. Not marksman. Not post-rework GP (who was made around trinity force...), and not yasuo (who doesnt benefit from the mana).

Because thats what the "boo hoo no crit on trinity force" argument boils down to. Yasuo who rarely built it in the first place outside of fotm, Corki who pre-rework went AP anyway (and when he went AD bought trinity force and IE, because corki is a caster), and GP who was reworked with trinity force in his core, dont have maximum slot efficiency anymore.

Trinity force is much better with the champions it was actually built for, not on two champions who are frustrating to play against and one champion who built it for the spellblade proc after lichbane was nerfed.

GP has been reworked more than once, so which rework are you talking about? Back in season 2, GP built Triforce all the time, along with Atmas Impaler and Warmogs. Sheen has also been core in GP's builds since at least season 2 (his mana issues were much worse back then). I should know, as I used to play him nearly every game, mostly in the jungle.

item 3086 has always had crit. How else do you think ADCs itemized back then?

While it's true that most bruisers do not utilize crit very well, that doesn't change the fact that crit has always been in Triforce's recipe. You can argue against me all you like, but I'm certain that at least one of the three will happen soon...

  1. Triforce will be nerfed.
  2. The champions that like the new Triforce (particularly Irelia and Jax) will be nerfed
  3. Riot will introduce a new Sheen + crit and/or AD + crit item to make up for the loss of crit on Triforce.

AD casters, champions with short cooldowns, and champs that scale with attack speed. All 3 have historically made use of Triforce, but now it primarily benefits the latter. Because of this change, all build-pathing has been made less efficient except for a select few champions.

Well Triforce into IE won't work anymore since the crit is removed. Every other caster ADC is going yommus into cleaver for the CDR, or going Essence Reaver into IE. I'd try one of those. You could still rush the triforce, and actually new Tri isn't bad at all, it's just anything after that won't mesh so well with it, so you'll scale poorly.

Not really, the passive nerf was stupid and killed him. He already had a bad late game since he can't itemize dual penetration and needed that extra AD scaling.
