so i play an aram i get ekko i have protobelt lich bane and a large rod enemy xerath has 2 and a half items as well i land my w stun on him e both qs protobelt and cant one shot him.then he e w qs me and guess what his burst did considerably more than mine. my point is whats the point in playing champs like ekko kat akali ect where you have to get on top of someone to do damage. when you can just play brand xerath neeko ahri( i knw shes hybrid mage assassin) oriana who do the same burst if not more from range and most of it being aoe to boot. im only talking about mid laners here and the only onei can think of when it comes to more instant burst than mages is diana.

Ekko really isn't a god example of a typical assassin you know. He's a skirmishing assassin, that's been his identity since his release. He thrives in extended fights, not an "all in dmg 100-0" that most assassins are. Even then he does a considerable amount of burst... also it might be considerable to mention Xerath's secondary is "assassin"... while he doesn't have the mobility of a typical assassin, he more than makes up for it in the burst dmg he can potentially deal and the high-range pick potential (tho the secondary is really just to denote the high dmg and abit outdated). An assassin earns that title due to having mobility enabling them greater chances at reaching and removing priority targets/critically damaging them before being able to escape. Slipperiness and damage.

First off,

Learning to split your ideas into digestiible pieces is important. That’s why sentences are used. Sentences break down your ideas into bite sized pieces so that they can be absorbed and digested more easily, in much the same way we would try to bite and chew off pieces of a steak. Notice how I also have the premise of the argument in both the beginning and end of the paragraph, while the middle is “support.” Because the purpose of writing is to get a message across clearly.

Secondly, Ekko is not a strict asssassin. He doesn’t 100-0 unless we’ll ahead (typically) and wouldn’t be that encumbered with a defensive item. And one defensive item would put you miles ahead of a xerath.

Ekko isn't even designed as an Assassin his changed what made him so The examples you mentioned are all champions I play , and Ekko is one of the reasons why I can't play them. Probably you need to practice , besides Aram balance is different , Mages are pretty good there , but if you are Ekko dashing with summoner 39 to 5 enemies and expect to stay alive , then something is wrong with your play style All those mages you mentioned got lower overall damage than Ekko and all of them Relay on skillshots , which you can use Ekko to dodge if played well
