The New Malzahar
Is it just me or did he just get weaker, he can't 1 shot anymore right?

AD Malzahar can solo baron, yeah. Idk about AP Malzahar.
It's because they changed how his ult works; it does 6% of their total health per second for 5 seconds, plus a certain amount as bonus AP iirc. I could be wrong, but I can't check atm. So it's more useful either to finish someone off, or primarily for the cc in a skirmish.
Yeah he can solo baron that really weak.... looks can be deceiving 
A lot of it's power is going to come from the cc giving voidlings a chance to attack repeatedly. So I'd say you can still pretty much do the same amount of damage with the ult as you could before, depending on how strong the voidlings turn out to be.
