Learning a new role

Hello fellow league players. My name is Yeetus. I'm a thresh in s3 (not that good at the game) over three different accounts i have about 566k mastery points (not too great but he is my boy.) I recently felt the need to change my role from a support main to a more aggressive all in sort of lane. and i came across Shaco, and if there are any Shaco players out there reading this I'm gonna ask a few questions. First one, Which lane is he better in. i see him top lane sometimes and he usually does pretty well up there. i mainly see him in the jg and he also does good there. what lane is he better in?

Second question. I have 0 clue how the hell to play him. it seems every other Shaco does 100% more damage than i do does he have a combo?

Third and final question. What is an optimal build on Shaco. i search on mobafire and look at pink ward and everything but they change. is there a starting build that's best. What would you recommend?
