Dynamic Queue is Amazing
Excuses,
I called everyone out the moment they announced Dynamic Queue during the pre-season. I knew a bunch of babies would be so distraught that they couldn't use the Solo Queue excuses, that they would invent and create the conditions for new plausible excuses to exist.
I'm the yung Utility Backline. Last season I played
using only
(Summoner name Soraka Heal Clar). I got Diamond 3 and racked up about 500k mastery points til Soraka started getting perma banned in August. I then more or less maintained that rank all season long casually playing other supports.
Dynamic Queue was announced and I thought it was a great system, but only for the reason of shutting up the bad players who couldn't escape whatever hell they considered themselves in "bronze hell" "silver hell" etc. I mean cmon guys... This system makes it so that you never have to be subjected to the vilest of the vile. You can construct your team with whomever you want. There is virtually no downside to Dynamic Queue.
To test both methods of climbing (solo vs team) I played on this account almost entirely solo. I got to Diamond 5 in 80-85 games. Not a personal best but I had a bad seeding start, and I was trying to find my new niche playstyle since Rito removed my Clarity... jerks. My other account Avexio I got into Diamond but it took me over 100 games. On Avexio I duo'd my seeding matches, and while I did solo quite a few games, I tried my hand at Dynamic Queue. I found it garbage. When I tried Dynamic I refused to do 4 man squads or trio queueing because I believe the only true advantage would be to have all 5 in one squad, working as a real 5 man unit. It was not advantageous at all. It took me longer to hit Diamond, and I did not gain from the communication.
In the end I quit doing Dynamic Queue by Plat2 as I was no longer winning with friends, which is what annoys me with the excuse of "1 chally player carrying 4 boostee's for $$$". Yeah it could happen, but the struggle gets brutal by about mid plat. Also, if you are in a 5 man with 4 bronzies and a challenger and you face 5 true low-high plat players. I doubt the chally will carry because the game is too snowbally. Sure he might smash midlane, but the other 2 lanes and jungler will smash the bronzies. You saw that in RP tournaments for the last 2 years. The amount of tournaments I have been in where I got forced to be with Bronze/Silver players sucked the life out of me.
Now being a support main, and more specifically a Utility Backline main. I knew I couldn't just put lower elo teammates "on my back". But I believed what my shitter friends have told me for 6 years "bruh invite me to your DQ! I'm good but excuse X is reason I'm low gold/mid gold/high gold/low plat". Well they lied. You all are lying to yourselves. Not one of them could put me on their back. No one performed outside of their elo range in terms of skill, game sense, game knowledge, attitude, and itemization. They sucked so bad. They pissed me off, and I lost some friends. Joking! I'm diamond I'll never lose friends or my 3 girlfriends.
I started to think to myself "wow I got diamond 3 without using
in the shitty solo q environment last season... whats changed?" On Utility Backline I noticed myself being subjected to 3 & 4 man queues. Something I stated back in pre-season was that 4 man squads should not be allowed. At the very least get rid of 4 man because I do hate the idea of 1 being subjected to 4.
Other than the 4 man quad squad. Dynamic Queue is great. It gives you whatever you want. You wanna run anti meta comps? You put in the leg work to find the right mates and you can do it. You wanna run solo? Go for it. I got Diamond and nothing changed in my climb. In fact the toxicity did not change. The amount of mother hens did not change. The amount of white knights did not change. Even the amount of dcers/rqers did NOT change. So you can go solo and still meet all those interesting players. Or you can do the extra homework to find the right players and Dynamic.
Stop acting like all your Bronze friends paid for boosts to Diamond. The exact same amount of players exist in diamond this season than last season (1.5% D5 0lp and by D4 0lp its 0.56% or top 9000 players). Nothing has changed. Your attitude hasn't.
Post Script: For all my supports down in Bronze, Silver, and Gold I'll leave you with parting words to help you climb.
Play Janna. Play like a Utility Backline. Play like a winner.
~Utility Backline I want my clarity spell back so I can be a vending machine once more!!!!
