Rent-a-Champ Program: Play that Champ you've been wanting to try!

It has been my experience that playing the game long enough refines your sense of choice and taste with the champions you enjoy. Sometimes, more often than not, a champion you really want to play just hasn't been on the free rotation in a while (i.e. Irelia , Kennen , etc). In the case that the champion is RP and IP expensive, you sit there wishing you had either more time to play the game or more money to freely spend on it. DISCLAIMER Please refrain from the "get a job" comments.

I've thought up a concept of renting a single Champion for 24 hours of play time, due to expire regardless of time played after a week from the time of the transaction. It allows for a fresh Field of Justice and the opportunity to be caught off guard when someone chooses a champion you didn't even know/remember existed.

Sometimes you just want to have a go at a Champion before buying them, and sometimes you don't want to wait. Lets not lie, there are some champions that have seen the free rotation far more than others have, and it's often the popular champions with a random one tossed in. Riot claims this is a free game, which it is essentially, but they make most of their money on the splurges we make, buying champions on a whim. I think it's an interesting business model because I'm more likely to buy for example Vi or Hecarim if I've had a go with them.

Tell me what you think! I honestly don't expect much out of this, since suggestions are suggestions and everyone has an opinion.

the free champion rotation always seems to be full of champions i own. it's made buying new champions rather difficult lately.

What a compelling argument. Could you please at least explain your stance? You have limited refunds per season, which can be quite a long time. Not only that, but you may have 90 days, but some people may not know about the refund process (as I learned too later about buying Lucian). Plus, (mind the caps) WHAT'S THE DOWNSIDE!?

If you let people rent champs for say, 1/10 of the cost a day, (730 at the very most for a first day champ, which can be quickly earned in 5 days using nothing at all but first win IP ((which isn't even counting the IP from wins or losses)). then they may find something they like. Plus if they like it say, they have only the 730 IP to rent them, but really like them, they might buy RP for a boost or to get the champ. (AKA $_$ for Riot.)

So, again, could you please explain your stance?

Why not? And to quote an earlier response in this thread
