Should I purposefully extend the game so that I can get more assists for an S as support?

If you look at my match history, I have been trying DESPERATELY to get an S on Thresh. I am not even a support main, but most of my past 20 games have been filled with him because I have been trying and trying to get that elusive last Mastery 7 Token I need. I have had so much kill participation with over 50% in each of the recent games I played this week, and I swear I have been warding and dewarding diligently. I always have a good usually even positive KD without KSing. In all of those games except one where I got an A+ I have gotten S- which makes me feel depressed. The problem I guess then is that the games are going too damn fast and I need to stretch them out to get 30+ assists each time?

Please give me some tips. I'm heading into another one rn, please wish me luck!

Update: So people are saying I need to get CS as support for a better ranking? I thought Riot amended that crap wow.

u want an S do you, well dont die, ks some kills and steal some cs here and there. and do all the other things you are doing boom

What you need to do better as a Support is likely related to Wards, Control Wards, Wards Destroyed (They do all matter), and possibly bring up your damage to champions. CS where possible. It'll come.

this is how I get S ranks with support. Be An Assist Slut Just throw your shield to them even tho they won't need them at all, keep getting assist and you should be good to go

On thresh I think you need to go at least 3/3/22 - 90 Cs to get your beloved s rank

I gotta say I don't know anything about the influence warding has in your rank but I hoped I helped a little
