PBE evelynn nerf?

It's not an evelynn buff. I dont know why people think it is. It's a cap on the damage eve can do to tanks, NOT a buff.

2000 hp adc/assassin/whatever assuming 500ap

Before: 25%+5%(ap) or 600 damage After: 400+40%ap (200) or 600 damage

Damage is unchanged at 2000hp. Targets under 2000 take slightly more damage since there is a large flat dmg piece, anything over 2k takes a ton less, tanks especially. Lets look at a 4000hp tank

Before: 30% of 4000 or 1200 damage After: still 600 damage.

Get it now? It's a hard nerf on eve vs tanks, and a nerf on all teamfight damage since it's fair to assume that most non adc champs have 2400-3000 health at build, and even some adcs have that much.

I didn't realize eve was overpowered. Waste.

It's a nerf to tanks. But a significant buff to higher priority targets, particularly earlier in games. It's gonna be like season 2 all over again where I can use the ult as an execute against low hp targets from the fog of war. And we all know how well that went over... Eve nerfed into oblivion repeatedly for a whole season, core items entirely removed from the game, all because adc's hated being blown up by something they never even saw or had a chance to react to.

Plus the damage on her ult later in games isn't what you use it for, never really was. When used as an initiation tool it's done so you can jump that high priority target with a huge Hp shield to assure you can get in, kill, get the reset, and get out. I don't see this changing her fundamental gameplay pattern much except for maybe making her early game overly strong when she's already a hyper scaling champ, which seems like a foolish move to me. If I get a cap on the minimum damage the ult does I'm gonna be super stoked and start stalking low health people even more than I already do and have it on a lower cd early in the game.

To me, all this seems like a significant buff to her early game and a less significant nerf to her late game, which I'm fine with since I love abusing that broken op passive anyways. Fun times ahead.

No. Not even just a little bit no. The cap on the minimum damage is 40-70-100, which might as well be 0. It's pointless. The scaling is exactly the same as present, it just caps at the top end. You dont use R to kill people when your q does 4 times the damage.

200 AP eve presently damage to 200 health target at level 11: 50. 200 AP eve after change damage to 200 health target: 150. Significant difference.

Just saying...

The only situation I can see this being beneficial is if eve goes full ap, cap, mejai, etc, and gets super fed early. Then R gets stupid since the other team hasn't scaled/built into their full builds. Even then it's still probably a nerf over before. Shame.

The changes appear to hardcore nerf ap assassin style eve while moderately hurting ad bruiser style while improving her ap bruiser style. I will definitely not be doing ap assassin eve after these changes, no chance in hell.

Does this have a minimum damage now? That's what I'd be looking for.

The look of things is that the ult will indeed have significantly increased minimum damage that is capped. No more ulting a 200 hp target only to have them burn flash and a dash and still escape you, instead they will just be executed.

Is she suppose to be killing tanks?

Plat 2 63% winrate AD Eve player here climbing my way up. I hate the change since it completely destroys AD Eve. AD Eve's big advantage over assassins is her combination of DPS and %DMG R allowing her to not only battle squishies, but also staying on par with bruisers. - which compensates her for being significantly worse at bursting squishies (and less mobile) than other assassins are.

The ultimate nerf on PBE completely destroys her ability to fight tanks/bruisers for AD and AP AND further significantly worsens her (AD Eve's) ability to fight medium HP targets (support) as well.

The changes completely screw her over. They don't even fit her identity or niche.

this change needs more context. it says "based on how healthy a target is", so im assuming its current HP still.

so how much dmg does it do if the target is low on HP? i cant tell if this is a buff or not without playing her to see how it works, but if it ends up being a significant nerf and they keep that change going live im 100% quitting this god awful game untill her rework.

she has been struggling with keeping her winrate at 47-48% for months and they nerf her? nah fuck that, she already struggles against tanks as it is with an actual assassin build. so hopefully this turns out to be better than it looks on paper.

She's an Assassin that's meant to take out squishes not tanks... so that is a buff on that end as its supposed to be.

Yep, at first I thought this was a buff but when I thought of the numbers more deeply I realized that it was a massive nerf.

Sadly i dont think Riot even knows how to Balance eve at this point.

Probably not. I think their intent was to make her less reliant on opening with her ult, but due to how her kit is, not opening with it is rather silly, as her ult is her only form of CC.

The cooldown buff on it is rather nice though.
