That's not even an argument. 50 Blue essence is better than none? That's just silly. Honestly it might as well be none.

i dont think it would make a big difference i was waiting for first win of the day to get just enough BE to buy a champ and i was short of 25 BE useless..leveling up is the only way

Well, you see... you used to get IP every single game. They felt that, somehow, was worse than getting a champion every few weeks at higher ranks.

They want to make money, so they made it longer for new players to get champions. That's all it is. Same reason they put skins that were SUPPOSED to be "Legacy," and never to be obtained again, in Boxes and charge players for keys to open them. (They gave us a stupid little silver icon inside the portrait that looks like the Vintage Icon) They don't CARE some of us spent hundreds to buy all the original "legendary skins" before they became "legacy," and now people playing a year or two get one from a box... they already got our money.

Same with BE... if you REALLY want a champ? You buy RP or wait... and wait...

I mean, it's free. I also think it's targeted towards newer players or people who can't play consistently.

So, you're telling me, people who can't play consistently receiving 50 blue essence for their first, possibly only game is lucrative?

The point of it is to be a small, daily bonus that adds up over time. Not a huge source of currency. It entices people to log in to League each day and potentially make them play more games. More playtime = potentially more skin sales, etc., etc.

League is a free game after all. Higher BE rewards from sources = more champions bought with less RP. IMO the current leveling/crafting system is fine.
