Any chance of making Cassiopeia's Q cast more like Karthus' Q cast?

Her current q seems really clunky since it doesn't cast at max range when your cursor is out of range. I find myself accidentally canceling the attack when I'm in a teamfight and have to chain abilities. It would be nice if it cast either instantly casted and didn't pull up the range indicator or cast at maximum range when your cursor was out of the indicator. Or both. Both would be nice.

EDIT: To clarify, I use smartcast with range indicators. Her q is odd because if it's cast out of range, she'll walk to the spot before casting rather than just casting it at the maximum possible range.

do you have your abilities on Smart Cast? (if you go into your options in-game, you can check) Having your abilities on Smart Cast will sort of make it like every one of your abilities like a Karthus Q. (though it does make a couple skills a bit weird like Viktor's E and such) Most people agree that Smart Cast makes your games a bit easier to play
