The negative impact of the changes to Lux's E in 10.2

Hey everyone. I made a video detailing how Lux's E originally worked vs how it works now. I haven't seen any official statement from Riot about what exactly they meant in the patch notes by "Her E will no longer reveal areas outside of its range"...but I'm assuming this is what they meant so that is why I am posting this under gameplay and not bugs.

On live the E is bugged even further and the exact center of the ability needs to be in the bush in order for any of it to get revealed, however this is already fixed on PBE, or is just simply not bugged on PBE.

To sum up the video: Currently on PBE Lux is no longer able to see into bushes with her E unless part of the inner circle is in the bush, but the bushes still light up as if they are being fully revealed. I'm not sure if this was the intended change for the patch or not. But this is making Lux's E much more difficult to manage and determine if there are enemies near by or not.

Thanks for watching/ reading. Let's Light It Up! -Lux

Can't believe this was removed as a bug when it was a mechanic that has been there for 9 years. Riven and yasuo can cancel animations but we can't even get this.

To be honest it really does seem like a bug. That said, it would've been nice if they had done anything minor to compensate for losing this bug.

I'm so glad they fixed this unfair bug, Lux has to place her E into bushes to reveal them just like item 3340 now.

How is it unfair? Every other ability that gives large areas of vision like Ashe and Quinn reveal everything including the bushes. Why should Lux's be different? Just because it can also do damage? As I mentioned in the above video, you used to be able to play safe and put your E in river to see enemies in each bush, but now you're going to have to walk closer and E only one of them at a time. That means you're going to either have to face check or waste even more mana just to know you're safe. And by doing that you're missing out on using your E for damage.

AoE damage with great AP scaling, long cast range, good cc, especially she can keep vision up to 5 sec in every 8 sec at lvl 9 without cdr which makes just 2 sec she is unable to provide vision. About Ashe and Quinn ; I don't think their visions are balanced too [sg-miss-fortune]

After going back and forth with support, and seeing other Lux players doing so, it seems they're basically going to leave the skill as is.

Her E doesn't even given vision of the entire brush if the centre orb is placed in a brush anymore. You'll only see the enemy in a brush if you throw the centre in and the vision range contains the enemy.
