Okay, small "update", i guess. In case someone at Riot sees this, here's a better description of the problem:
You start the game and your FPS is normal, like it used to be. In my case it's around 60 FPS (because I set the limit to 60 FPS)
You spend a few minutes playing, farming, and everything seems to be okay. You get a kill, you die, you get ganked, everything's good
You get past 10-15 minutes and you get a 5-10 FPS drop. It's okay, everything is playable and it's a normal thing, especially if your computer is not really good
You get past 25 minutes and your FPS starts getting lower and lower. In my case, from 60 FPS it goes to 35-37, and that on lane with absolutely no one around, not even minions. Game struggles to keep the FPS up with nothing around me.
You get to 33-35 minutes - you're lucky if you can see anything in team fights, if you don't have a good pc. Even if you do, everything works slow, the game drops from 35 to 25 FPS for no reason especially in team fights and you just pray your team can carry
You get to 40 minutes - once everyone gathers and the team fight starts, your FPS is underage. Really. I had 16 FPS in my last team fight. I wanted to hit Quinn with my Q. I was Teemo. I missed her until she killed me.
The FPS generally starts being great at the beginning of the game but the more minutes pass, the less FPS you get. I personally had the same problem in the past, especially after getting Elder Dragon/Baron buff (or both).
However, now it's not even because of the buffs. Once the games goes on for too long, it becomes hard to play. If you don't have a good PC, your 60 FPS goes down to 18-25 after 30-35 minutes. And I mean 25 if you don't do anything. 18 FPS if a wild minion appears.
I played a game right before writing this and I asked in the "all" chat if someone else was having this problem:
Enemy Quinn said yes
Enemy Lucian say yes
Enemy Vi said "I play with 60 FPS on gt 8400 then fuck you" - not sure what that is supposed to mean.
I tried to change the settings from Very Low to Very High then to Very Low again, and it didn't work. There's nothing on my computer to slow down the game, my graphics card driver is updated and there's nothing changed on my computer that could affect my FPS.
Something's wrong with the patch that causes some players to get a lot of FPS drops for no reason. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
