Negative Stat items

So I've been playing a ton of Disgaea lately and it got me thinking.

Why not have items that have negative stats? What I mean by this is it can be extremely strong in one department, but deduct stats in another in exchange. It'd probably be a bit trickier to implement in general but I don't think it necessarily would be a bad thing and can be used as a method to leverage other items in the game.

For example, RFC might reduce AS or MS distinctly (save for champions like Jhin or Graves) but through that you can increase the punch it packs. Or something along those lines. Obviously they're not the same game, but, just a thought.

I don't know about that other games but items in league you gotta think about the gold efficiency of the items when looking at the design of them.

item 3814 is 84% gold efficient. The stats are worth 2730 gold, then theres the passive. It costs 3250 gold.

If our goal was to discourage ADCs from buying it, we could add -35% attack speed, to keep about the same cost efficiency, we would need to add +25 AD to it. So we end up with.

item 3814 +35 magic resistance +85 attack damage -35 Attack speed UNIQUE: +15 Lethality (9.33 - 15 (based on target's level) armor penetration). UNIQUE: +20 movement speed out-of-combat. UNIQUE: Channels for 1.5 seconds to gain a Spell Shield spell shield that blocks the next enemy ability within the next 10 seconds (30 second cooldown). Damage will interrupt the channel. You can move while channeling. If the channel is interrupted, the item is put on a reduced 5 second cooldown.
