The Yuumi Issue

I recently played a ranked game where I was jungle and we had someone pick Mid lane. Okay, so a troll pick, whatever I guess. Just farm hard and win right? Well, that is until she sits on me and helps with my leash only for me to realize she brought . She proceeds to my first camp, taking the level 2, and refuses to detach all the while smiting the most valuable camps whenever the spell is up (probably took summoner spell cdr runes just to dig in even more). Now I am being held hostage all game with literally no way to stop this griefing cat from being attached to me or taking my camps. I was starved of CS and levels all game and was even almost reported by my bot lane after afking long enough for the Yuumi to get off me.

I really hate that there is no apparent way to stop this form of aggressive hard grief. The worst part about it is that their KDA looks perfectly normal afterward.

Does anyone have any ideas on how either players (or the balance team) can avoid this?

The only solutions I was able to come up with were to have an option to either kick off of you (or never allow her on in the first place) and or to not let her take or any of its respective items.

The thing is, I dont normally see Yuumi as a troll pick and she didnt have smite to begin with.

But you said it yourself they picked Yuumi Mid, and thats why you thought it was a troll pick... so yeah you should have dodged that...

It definitely was a player issue too (which was taken care of with a report and a ticket to riot support) But the fact that the player can abuse the mechanics like that with no way around it (ie, I can't get her off me to get XP or gold) With her griefing left me 2-3 levels behind all game I was basically useless.

What im trying to say is that there shouldn't be any mechanics that allow that to happen.

Edit: I want to put it on the record that I am aware that I let a lot of personal emotion get into this post but the general point of how Yuumi can be used to throw / grief and if she picks you there's nothing you can do about it till shes off the rift (spoilers, that can't happen till you are because shes untargetable)

If he had picked Janna, or Thresh, or Lee Sin, or Nasus, or Katarina, or Vayne, or anyone else instead of Yuumi, what would you have done to get him to stop griefing you?

If he does follow me I can back without him being there and walk to another side of the JG. I can use a blast cone to get him on the other side of a wall there are ways for me to be alone to farm my camps.

Even if they found me or caught up to me and we ran into some enemy they have a higher chance of dying as they wont be itemized well. And it doesn't require me to die for them to even take damage.

You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to tie Yuumi as a whole to one troll you had. https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/summoner/na/Licantropo1977 It seems they have a history of going cleanse/smite to lose on purpose. Theyre probably a smurf interested in staying low just to kick puppies, which is a different issue altogether.

That doesn't really make my issue any less valid. If anything it expands the scope of it. The issue I have is that the way Yuumi is designed allows her to do stuff like this with no counterplay. I cant go farm because she's already on top of me ready to smite my buffs.

The way you expanded on my issues just shows that smurfs and trolls have ways to int and lose games while still having a 4.25 kda in the game or on the champ as a whole. They can impact the team negatively while doing effectively nothing to classically int, throw, troll ect

Their "idea" would lead to a lot more damage than it would 'fix' and punishes the entire playerbase of the champion because they had one troll. Regardless of the fact that riot doesnt do "anti-trolling" things.

You didn't answer the question, and now i have even more. You claim that the ability to kick yuumi off you, hurts her player base, how does it do this? What problems does this introduce into the game other then people trolling Yuumi players (which you already said Riot doesn't balance around).

You are acting like a toddler throwing a tantrum. All this anger but not explaining jack all about what the actual problem is/ what you think this change would lead to.

The funny thing about that is Yuumi can just find another champ to attach to. It is VERY unlikely that they get a team of 4 people who all have it out for them and won't let them attach. Im kinda thinking about this like Kalista Ult. It can be used to troll and grief but has a cooldown. And again I run into the issue of being able to just be on another part of the map than her. You cant do that with the Yuumi whos attached to you till you die while she cant even be tartgeted.

I'm really terrible at formatting here but ill try to go over what I mean piece by piece as you did.

The issues I had here are about how Yuumi specifically can grief the way this player did. Using certain champion mechanics that were used as a detriment to the team.

I dont have much to say to your second point.

Not "every champion" can do this. In fact, no other champion can make themselves untargetable for an indefinite amount of time, while concurrently being attached to your every move no matter how much faster you are than them or what routes you take. The closest example that I can think of would be Kayn, but there are many differences. 1.Its his ult that doesn't unlock till lv 6 (not spammable) 2. He cants use it on teammates. 3. He cant use abilites (or summoners?) while untargetable. 4. His untrargetable period has a definite leingth before it can be used again (still not on teammates)

I never said Yuumi was a terrible champion. I would have dodged as soon as I saw one on my team if that were the case. I never thought about them being a smurf originally. I am talking about trolls being bad and toxic for the game. But if you do get one usually you have ways to solo play back into the game. I couldn't really do that because of the mechanics of Yuumi specifically.

Again, I will say I don't think the champion is bad, I think that Yuumi needs to have some attention on how players can abuse her to troll without making their post-game show it. When you see am 0/3/25 Yuumi lose you think ok, they did really good, high KP but had a bad game. In reality she stole levels and gold from me and there was no way I could be anywhere without her on top of me.

To conclude, I suggested 2 ways this variation of trolling with Yuumi can be avoided.

Not let her take smite as she will never be a viable jungler (or solo laner for that matter)
Allow players to reject Yuumi's attachment or boot her off of them with some sort of cooldown on reattachment.

Me saying remove the champ from the game was full tilt.

Funny, but a bad game isnt bringing smite cleanse on yuumi mid and smiting all my camps

You should probably use an app to lookup stats for you about your teammates so you know when to dodge. I use Porofessor and it's pretty good. Also report the trolls.

This players stats arent anything too awful. (Specifically because of the way he trolls he has a high KDA) on top of that he is an average player too and in his match history has some good games. Just was on a 5 game troll streak :/
