I'm looking at your match history, and here's some advice from a fellow Zilean player - I'm currently rank 6 with two Mastery 7 tokens.

  1. You die a lot. You need to have 2 deaths max in a sub-40 game, or 3 in a 40+ game to even compete. Not only is this mandatory S policy, it's also good game policy. Work on this before anything else.

  2. Take item 3098 over the coin line. Zil has huge auto attack range, and bombs make getting gold easy money. Quicker money, better items, yada yada

  3. I'd avoid item 3165. You want CDR, but not from that. What I'd suggest for a build order is this: Start - item 3303 item 2003 x3 item 3340 1st back - item 3098 item 1001 2nd - item 3070

The thing to keep in mind is your first few items should be about gold. Frost fang gives you more, and tear allows you to stay in lane more. Also, the less you're dead the more you make.

My final build tends to look like this: item 2045 item 3040 item 3060 item 3363 item 3504 (this makes his revive provide more health, and gives you speed), item 3107 item 3092

Some consideration can be given to removing Seraph mid-game to pick up item 3285 for more speed when you don't need mana, but that's up to you. And shouldn't be applied broadly. A Zilean without mana is some bad bad news.

  1. Make sure you're maxing slow first and your bomb last. His slow down/speed up ability is the single greatest gank-removal method in the game. I more often use it to slow enemies, but the occasional boost for a kill has occured.

  2. If you want an S, improve 3 things:

A. Your death count. B. Your assist count. The active on Queen's and Redemption should help here. C. Your CS. Banner should help with this assuming you set it up for success: Start as close to your base as you can (with consideration for the point of the game) Don't send a promo into their minion push Always give it to a Siege

You just have to play really well. It is the same as any other position even though I actually find it really easy to get S grades as a support. I'm not sure what your scores on support generally look like, but this should give you an idea of what is required for an S.

The S+ games were 2/1/24, 7/3/22, and 3/0/26.

You are already graded by how you're doing as a support. The criteria is the following:

  • Around 65% kill participation (Kills and assists)
  • At least 20+ cs in a 20 minute game. Higher it goes, you'll want it padded a bit more in case
  • As close to a ward per minute as you can possibly get
  • Clear as many wards as you possibly can

Now that we have a crowd control score, try making sure you provided adequate peel/engage to your team. With Zilean, that's fairly straight forward.

Remember, you only need an S to get the mastery 7 tokens. It allows a tiny bit of wiggle room.
