Bork Vs. BT on Corki

I play Corki pretty often and I spectate a lot of high elo games with Corki in them and I sometime see people build BT and other times Bork. The damage on BT seems pretty good since Corki doesn't really need AS, but Bork's passive effect also seems pretty useful. Which is better on him?

I personally prefer BT in general, but BotRK is good situationally. Bloodthirster gives your missiles a lot more pain, and the shield lets you sneak in autos on towers without taking damage, even when your minions have been cleared. So, if you want to siege (which most Corkis do), BT is the way to go.

If you're looking more for teamfights, however, the self peel and sustained damage on BotRK can be really useful, especially against health stackers like Mundo or Voli. The Korean build of Triforce->Sorc Boots->Bilgewater gives you really great all in/dueling potential if you're into that playstyle.

BT has higher AD for his Q ratio. In those games in which BotRK is built there was probably a health stacker on the enemy team.

Well, time for some math. Assuming that all you do is auto attack, the enemy would need more than 687.5 current hp for BotRK to be more effective based on raw damage. this does not deal with crits, crit damage, AS, or the fact that his abilities scale with AD. BotRK lets your AAs shred tanks really well, and also has a great kiting active. BT has a ton of defensive utility with twice the life steal of BotRK as well as its shield passive. If they have a lot of tanks, then I would go BotRK. If they don't, then I would go BT. BT scales better as a burst damage item with his bonus AD ratios and gives stronger crits. BotRK deals higher initial DPS, but deals less with crits (it does give AS, which makes crits happen more frequently). Both are pretty good on Corki, and really it comes down to who you are playing against.

Kingblade is better if you go ham and repeatedly pew-pew things from medium range. If you're a risk-taker.

Bloodthirster is better if you're playing poke wars - more AD for ratios, a shield that's pretty solid against rival poke, and hit-and-run with an auto is pretty solid with mega-AD.

That said - Kingblade is solid by itself, but a big part of it's cost is in the active and especially %HP shred. Neither of which scale with critical strike chance.

Trinity Force has a similar issue with Sheen procs and AP not scaling with critical strike chance.

A Tri Force + Kingblade combo can allow Corki's solid mid-game with Tri Force to coast a little further into mid-game, but you're amplifying a weak end-game by getting both in the same build.

If you don't win by mid-game, an end-game anybody with Infinity Edge + Statik Shiv + Last Whisper is going to outscale what a hybrid/bruiser-ish Tri-Force + Kingblade + something else combo is going to offer.

TLDR:

Kingblade if you're a daredevil and risk-taker, Bloodthirster if you like playing it safe.
