why does pykes gray health have to be a part of hes kit?

play maker supports are suppose to run to in lane and use a skill shot like threhs or blitz crank and if they miss that skill shot you cna then punihs them with poke but what is the counteprlay to pyke becuase poke does not work becuase of hes gray health why the fuck is this a thing it legit just removes the only palyer based counterplay to pyke if pyke is picked into a poke support he just auto wins botlane why is this coinflipy part of hes kit a thing?

Mostly because he cant build health, and because it gives him an incentive to try and get out with his limited escape tools (he has nothing to really get out once he goes in, unlike other assassins).

When the game is so powerecreeped that a low cd dash with aoe hard cc + stealth + 60% ms steroid on a rank 1 ability is considered "limited escape tools".

All of which he uses to engage. Also he has no stealth, he has camo, meaning it doesnt function near enemies.

Also, none is low CD.

Poking adds up early, and hes supposed to be strong to pokes and weak to getting all in'd.

It’s because you have to delete him from a fight when he gets in. If he engages counter engage him and blow him up. You can’t poke him down because he’ll get away. Every champ has strengths that feel like BS to someone.

Think of it from a lore perspective. Pyke is basically a ghost. In all the ghost shows and moves, let’s say Supernatural for example, when they salt shot gun a ghost it hurts them and they disappear but then they come back.

Pyke if you don’t kill can be hurt and then he has to disappear to regen like a ghost.

Not to mention he doesn’t gain bonus health from items so it’s not like his health pool is insane amounts of high. And if he builds defensively his damage is really low and he’s a disrupter with an execute.

But just think of the ghost thing and you’ll be ok. Happy Halloween!
